Dielectric & Centerline Machine Announces Certification to ISO 9001-2015

December 2017, Menomonee Falls, Wis. – Dielectric Corporation and Centerline Machine LLC (a div. of Dielectric Corp.), a contract manufacturer of components for world-leading OEMs, has been certified under ISO 9001:2015 as of Dec. 6, 2017. The company previously earned certification under ISO 9001:2008 in 2009 and has been audited and registered annually by Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc., since 2001.

ISO 9001-2015International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 is the most updated standard of its kind and focuses on quality management systems and performance. It assists companies in developing a management system that aligns quality with their wider business strategy. There is a focus on risk-based thinking and accountability in all organizational processes that helps improve communications, efficiency, and implementation of continuous improvement.

“We are excited to earn certification to ISO 9001:2015 and feel it provides additional assurance to our customers that we are focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction,” said Dielectric President and CEO Mike Esser. “Our move from ISO 9001:2008 to the updated standard demonstrates our desire to always perform at the highest levels of quality and efficiency. It’s essential to delivering innovative, high quality and customer-focused solutions to our customers. Risk management and data-driven decision-making have long been a part of Dielectric’s philosophy, and these progressive philosophies were also incorporated into the latest ISO standards. These philosophies, which are already part of our daily culture, assist in the identification, managing, monitoring and reduction of overall business risks. Finally, an increased focus on performance measurement and organizational behavior will help to create value for our customers and employees,” added Mr. Esser.

For any company, the road to certification requires time and commitment. Dielectric began its internal preparation for certification in June 2017, by evaluating its existing procedures and aligning them with the new requirements. Since its documentation and procedures were already well established and compliant with ISO 9001:2008, the company only needed to make minor changes to its overall processes and procedures to meet the new standards. In November 2017, Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. performed the mandatory recertification audit. It then notified Dielectric of the achievement of the ISO 9001:2015 standard on Dec. 6, 2017.

(As of 2019, Dielectric Corp. now is known as Dielectric Manufacturing.)
