Ultem® Polyetherimide Characteristics
Ultem® is the ideal thermoplastic choice for demanding, high-heat applications. This polyetherimide material can withstand continuous operating temperatures of 340° F while maintaining strength and rigidity. It is easily fabricated and bonded and offers excellent chemical resistance and high dielectric strength.
Ultem® is the high-performance thermoplastic of choice for many aerospace, aircraft, medical and pharmaceutical applications, including medical components. It offers exceptional mechanical properties and exhibits natural flame resistance and extremely low smoke generation. Characteristics include:
